This is the first in a series of art projects I am undertaking with children in public places. This water balloon installation is entitled “Jellybean Pool”. The kids and I worked hard on filling over 300 balloons, or as Oona says, “bloons”. I was quite amazed at their diligence because folks, this piece of art took hours. I just love the way the sun came out at the right moment and shone right on it and made the balloons glisten like gemstones. The white ones looked like light bulbs. Now if only I could get paid for these projects, I will have found my dream job!
Below we have my diehard helpers.
And now for the really fun part – destroying them all. Even baby Solène got in on the action.
