We just got our Fun with Stitchables and the girls are learning how to do basic stitches in a much easier and fun way than I ever did! Fun with Stitchables by artist, Suzy Altman, introduces young crafters to simple embroidery by way of quick and easy cross-stitch sewing card with punched holes for easy stitching. And there’s a 16-page project book with instructions for designing their own unique stitching patterns and color combinations.
And the book has tons of ideas in the project gallery with examples of what the hand-stitched cards can become once they are complete: everything from ornaments to greeting cards! The stitching patterns taught in this book promote growth and development, hand-eye coordination, as and of course, creativity and imagination.
I can hardly to see what the girls do with their stitching projects!
