Raspberry Plum Fall/Winter 2017 Circus Collection

I’m super excited by Raspberry Plum Fall/Winter 2017 Circus Collection! Designer, Aleksandra Matthews delights us every season with her artistic and fashion forward collections and this season  she has gone a step further in her creativity and boldness with this British label. The theme is Circus and is heavily inspired by paintings by Matisse, Picasso and the Dadaists.

The knits are the most fun kids are going to have in a sweater and the color palette for this season is bright, clear and broad. Fabrics are a large mix of wool blend, Italian silk, organzas and silks, and appliques are abundant this season.

I also love the ethics of this brand. Their goal is to give back to the community, and starting with the ss16 season RaspberryPlum started working with a non-profit organisation in Serbia, who’s aim is to gather dying traditional and local crafts. They pass on their knowledge to the community through lectures and craft therapy in hospitals and other institutions. This organisation produced the pompoms on the socks for Spring/Summer 16 collection. RaspberryPlum is planning to continue their work with such organisations and also work closely with charities.

This collection will be exhibited at trade shows Pitti BimboDot to Dot LondonPlaytime Paris and Playtime New York and I can’t wait to see it in person!
