And here’s what else is in the sneak peek of what to expect in January…503 brands in an Exhibition area of 47,000 square meters. And below are some highlights. And here is the Pitti Bimbo site so you can get more info even buy your ticket!
THE NEST – a focus on small independent brands from all around the world
The Nest is the new project dedicated to creative research in kidswear. An exclusive selection of small independent brands and “up-and-coming” companies showcased on the Lower Level of the Main Pavilion, selected in collaboration with Little Pop Up Berlin, the Berlin store /concept lab. The names include: Cherry Papaya Kids, Garbo&Friends, Kalinka Kids, Lieblinge, Mara Mea, Monkind, Poupee, Robe of Feather.
In January the protagonist will once again be Apartment, the project dedicated to sophisticated contemporary children’s fashions: a unique section furnished according to Ilaria Marelli’s creative project that contains a sophisticated grouping of international clothing and accessory collections aimed at buyers from the most exclusive boutiques. In the Rondino a special catwalk show will recreate the atmosphere of an atelier, using maison haute couture presentation methods.
SUPER STREET – a full volume urban trend!
SuperStreet is the Pitti Bimbo section that gives a voice to the denim universe and the street trends of junior and teen clothing. In a lively, specifically designed setting, the clothing expresses a belonging to a tribe that stands apart from others for its sounds, images and messages.
PITTI DANCE OFF, the theme of the winter fairs
Pitti Dance Off is the theme of the Pitti Immagine winter fairs with a layout project curated by Oliviero Baldini. The protagonist is dance – as the need to move around in rhythm to express oneself, as energy, as freedom of personal style. It will be playfully and ironically represented by a gesture, the finger tut, in the spirit of street dance and destined to spread virally. A kind of “tell me how you dance and I’ll tell you how you’ll dress”: next January, young and old alike will be moving to the rhythm of Pitti Dance Off. So, folks, looks like you can get a good dance going in between viewing all that amazing fashion.
KIDZFIZZ – the Pitti Bimbo concept lab at the Archivi for the very first time
KidzFIZZ, the children’s fashion project that brings together the most creative collections by brands that experiment with shapes, materials and presentation styles, confirms its new bigger size: it is a proposal dedicated to a more evolved international public. In line with the new kids’ lifestyle global scenarios, KidzFIZZ is aiming for research, creative exploration, the contamination between fashion and design and the significant presence of accessories. Staged inside the Medici Pavilion and at the Archivi, with a layout by Storage Associati, KidzFIZZ is increasingly Pitti Bimbo’s concept laboratory. It will also feature a special dedicated catwalk show in the Rondino.
