Handmade Charlotte Collection for Anthropologie

I just adore this precious little collection that Rachel Faucett of the well-loved blog, Handmade Charlotte has created for Anthropologie this season. And the cute little girl modeling the collection is THE Charlotte of Handmade Charlotte – one of Rachel’s five kids. And I am proud to say, that Bellissima Kids is the very first to present Charlotte to the world! (Thanks for that Rachel). This is what Rachel says about her inspiration for this range:

I made up this story about a little girl. Her mother is a novice antique dealer who sets up at the local markets. She travels abroad a few times a year with her mom, only carrying Buffalo Nickels. She wears Indian Head Pieces and collects vintage buttons that her mother sews on her beret… I wanted this to feel vintage, special, one of a kind. I made every piece in my home with 2 women. We were sewing  all summer!“.

So, I was wondering how on earth she could swing getting all that done but I met the lovely Rachel when she was in New York and I got it – this woman is a force of nature! Instead of doing an interview with Rachel, I decided to just give you some interesting and random facts you probably didn’t know about her!

I am a twin, my mother was a knitter, my aunt has a basket in the Smithsonian, my grandmother a seamstress. I have been surrounded by craft my entire life. I am self taught and like to make just about anything. I paint, have made candles, soap, blown glass, ceramics,  jewelry, lamps. I love art supplies – I love them! I have 3 rooms filled with them. I am totally into rocks…
