Bonobos Vegetarian Restaurant

So I thought I’d give our Fashion Week on Bellissima Kids a breather and tell you about this wonderful place where we had lunch today.

We’ve been going to Bonobos Vegetarian Restaurant for years. And in fact, it’s not only vegetarian but raw. And not only raw, but mostly organic… and delicious! Here is Oona in her blissful state eating her nori rolls filled with her choice of salads and nut meats with a very tasty selection of dressings. They also have all sorts of inventive vegetable dishes (they are not afraid of using spices), and for dessert an array of ice-creams made purely from fruit, mesquite and sesame truffles, and coconut cream with pineapples. Mmm. And the wonderful part for Mamas is this place is completely child-friendly. You can breastfeed freely as the clientele and staff are very pro-natural or you can go in the back room for privacy. Oona has been running around this place for years and people interact with her very sweetly. More of a zen crowd here. Bonobos is open for lunch up until early in the evening and is on 23rd Street, between 5th and Madison-a stone’s throw from one of my favorite buildings; The Flatiron.

Afterwards, we headed to Madison Square Park, seeing it’s across the street and Solène had a ball cooling off in the sprinklers!
