I just found these incredible Boomini dollhouses. Dollhouses are the staple toy for girls as far as I’m concerned and I’m always struck when I come across magnificent ones like these.
The Boomini company is Polish and they have done a beautiful job crafting these out of natural plywood. I’m completely smitten, especially by the Scandic-Style contemporary furniture for all the different rooms in the house! The attention detail is painstaking. The mini furniture is made from plywood and wood then painted with certified child-safe water paints, while cushions are filled with anti-allergy inserts. The filling of the mattresses have been fashioned from professional upholstery foam and natural fabrics such as wool felt and 100% cotton have been used for the upholstery too. And believe it or not, they are made from all renewable raw materials which make them suitable for recycling.
These ultra-mod abodes are made up of four modular pieces, so there are countless combinations of how you can arrange the house – horizontally, vertically or freestanding for instance. So, adds another dimension to the traditional dollhouse which is always the same structure.
