Molo Kids, Autumn/Winter, 2015 explodes onto the scene with an urban feel and street attitude with a sporty and poetic kick. For both boys and girls, this collection is inspired by New York’s street scene, so its got baseball caps, chenille patches, prints with reference to the city’s street looks and more intense colours that light up the dark autumn season. I really love this Danish take on New York style. Always good to see how that is interpreted by others.
The color palette is mostly neutral, but there are unexpected color splashes, animal prints and details like feature stitching, jacquard knits and patches. Some other features: ’hairy’ knits, a neoprene skirt in a quirky style and the use of metal details in prints and motifs. The boy’s collection is all about street attitude: sweatshirt, black/blue camouflage colours and front prints that were designed by a professional tattoo artist to create an authentic street look. As an added bonus, Molo’s tattoo printed styles come with kid-friendly ’tattoos’ to match! Sounds like fun.
