I thought I would share a few of our favorite books at the moment, which are in our very own bookstore!
The first one, “Caps For Sale” is a charming and quirky tale of a merchant and his experience with some very cheeky monkeys. The girls laugh every time we get to the dramatic point of the book (don't want to spoil it). The illustrations by Esphyr Slobodkina are really wonderful and draw you right into this character's world.
Okay, so everybody loves Mo Willems and we have quite a few of his books. But “Don't Let the Pigeon Drive The Bus” is the winner at the moment. It has even overtaken their fixation with “Knufflebunny”. But I just know the old Knuffles will make a comeback soon!
“Little Blue and Little Yellow” is a classic that we never get tired of. I am always just amazed at the simplicity and depth of this story. And the girls also seem to get it on a very deep level. We are always moved by this… and really anything by Leo Lionni.
