This is truly awesome and amazing and what playful parents to make this secret passage to Narnia happen! They were building a house and found they had extra space next to their nine-year-old daughter’s bedroom and decided to have a little fun with it. So they created a Narnia-themed playroom linked to her bedroom through a tiny doorway, and placed a wardrobe (with an appropriately sized piece cut out of the back) in front of that doorway. I can only imagine the hours that will be spent reading and dreaming in that little hideaway, and it makes me wish I could do something extraordinary and wonderful like this for my girls. It also takes me back to when I was about 6 years old – I would fantasize about a doorway in our wardrobe that would take me to a secret garden and I would imagine all sorts of adventures…

So creative. The secret passage is definitely a great idea that I am sure she is enjoying so much.
It’s a fantastic idea! I am always so intrigued by any hidden doorway like the ones behind bookcases in movies!
What an amazing idea!!
This is wonderful – my kids barely have rooms never mind secret rooms to imagine in!
Sounds like maybe you live in a big city, Robin! I hear you on the space issues!
