Kimochis – The Feelings Toy

We have had our little Kimochi Bug Set above for the girls for a few weeks now and they are thrilled with it – we also got the extra feelings pack. These toys are not just adorable plush friends but a tool for kids to develop their emotional intelligence, which I think is so important. What do you think? Oona wants the Bella Rose  below for her birthday which is a no-brainer for me. I might also go for the Mixed Bag of feelings so we have plenty to work with! A sweet little book also comes with it completing the very thoughtful world that these characters inhabit. I am completely drawn into it as well as the girls!

Here is a rundown of how it all works: Kimochi (Key.Mo.Chee) means “feeling” in Japanese.  Kimochis: 3 small pillows with a feeling (happy, sad, silly, brave) printed on one side, and a corresponding facial expression on the other come with each Kimochi character and a How-To Kimochis Feel Guide. The characters also have a special pocket where kids can store their “Kimochis” – or feelings – and kids can get in touch with their emotions through puppetry and play. The Feel Guide introduces the fun and quirky personalities of each character and offers parents fun tips and activities to help strengthen parent child connections and develop healthy social and emotional skills. Their website is so cute and has a lot more products to check out!
